Now, That's What You Call Provacative
Yesterday afternoon conservative Houston radio host Dan Patrick made a thought provoking suggestion. In a discussion about the costs incurred by our hospital systems due to illegal immigration, Patrick proposed stationing an Immigration Enforcement Agent in the emergency rooms of hospitals in cities with large illegal immigrant populations. It's hard to imagine a more politically incorrect proposal, and I doubt if INS has enough agents--but it would be fascinating to observe the results.
I continue to be baffled by our inability--make that unwillingness--to enforce our own laws.
