I need to research if voting in the Democratic primary will stay on my record.

Well, it might very well stay on your permanent record ... but ... you would be eligable for all sorts of government hand-outs in the future...

I was assured by the nice lady at the local Rebublican Party office that it wouldn't impact my ability to vote in future Rebublican primaries. So...did I or didn't I?
